McDuffie Center for Strings welcomes alumna Emily Brandenburg as new director
The Robert McDuffie Center for Strings at Townsend School of Music is excited to welcome acclaimed violist Emily Brandenburg to the faculty as the school’s new director for the upcoming 2026 fall semester. Renowned musicians Jessica Lee and Hal Robinson join also faculty ahead of 2026-2027 year.
ROBERT MCDUFFIE SET TO TOUR WITH CZECH NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Renowned violin virtuoso Robert McDuffie is set to tour the eastern United States with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and acclaimed conductor Steven Mercurio next February, performing Johannes Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 77.
Symphony is back in Macon with inaugural season of The Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra
The symphony will return to Macon on Monday, Oct. 4, when the brand-new Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra will play its opening concert at The Grand Opera House at 7:30 p.m. Tickets and season subscriptions are available now.
